Application Information

ELIGIBILITY 

The Competitions are open to permanent residents or citizens of Australia or New Zealand; or applicants who are from another nation and have studied in Australia or New Zealand for at least one year preceding 13 July 2024.  You are not eligible to apply if you have previously been a first prize winner of the Competition you are applying for.

Date Of Birth for Young Lev Vlassenko Applicants must be within the range from 14 July 2006 and 13 July 2012 (inclusive of those dates)

 

Date Of Birth for Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition Applicants must be within the range from 14 July 1993 to 13 July 2008 (inclusive of those dates)

HOW TO APPLY – please read this carefully

All applications must be completed online at www.lev-vlassenko.com. The online application

will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and there are eight parts to the application.

 

You will need to provide and complete:

  • Your (the Applicant’s) Personal Details

  • Applicant’s Parent/Guardian Contact Information (For applicants under the age of 18)

  • Information on your current or recent Teacher or Mentor

  • Your Education Information

  • Repertoire (Audition, Rounds/Semifinals Repertoire and Piano Concerto)

  • Proof of Identity

  • Performance Rights Agreement

  • Payment of Application Fee

 

You will need to have the following information and files ready as Word.doc / .pdf /.jpg:

  • List of repertoire in the required format; and

  • Biography (250 words max.) for publicity purposes, and

  • Curriculum Vitae (3 A4 pages max.) with details of training and qualifications, competitions entered and awards received, etc; and

  • One high resolution, full colour headshot image, in JPG format (5MB max.) suitable

        for publicity and identification purposes; and

  • Scanned, certified copy of birth certificate, passport or another legal document stating the Applicant’s date of birth and nationality; and 

  • Scanned, signed letter from the Applicant’s present or recent teacher, or a musician of national standing, recommending their participation in the Competition; and 

  • If the Applicant is a non-Australian resident, a scanned, certified copy of an academic transcript indicating dates and place of study.

Application Fees:

Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition – Application Fee $250 (non-refundable)

Young Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition – Application Fee $200 (non-refundable)

 

To conclude the Application, the appropriate non-refundable application fee must be paid by Direct Deposit and an email sent to contact@lev-vlassenko.com detailing the Applicant’s name with a screenshot showing the payment with the description/reference and so that their deposit can be verified.
