Message from Artistic Directors
We are very happy to welcome everyone to the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition and Festival as we celebrate its 25th anniversary this year.
The idea behind the Competition was to find, recognize and support new talent, and to promote classical piano music as an important part of the cultural education of the young generation of Australians and New Zealanders.
Over the years the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition and Festival has developed into a larger organisation: it now includes the Young Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition, the Little Lev Piano Showcase and the important educational program called the Lev Vlassenko Piano Academy.
Over the years the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition and Festival has developed into a larger organisation: it now includes the Young Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition, the Little Lev Piano Showcase and the important educational program called the Lev Vlassenko Piano Academy.
In 2024 first rounds of the Competitions were held in major cities around Australia and New Zealand.
We are pleased to see many of the past Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition prize winners and participants succeed in their musical careers both nationally and internationally.
We would like to wish all contestants the power to fully realize their creative potential and feel truly inspired by the great music they perform.
Once again, we warmly welcome all the contestants, distinguished Jury and audience to this year‘s special event.
We also express our deep gratitude to the Competition Board of Directors, our sponsors, donors, supporters and volunteers without whom this event would not be possible.
