Eric Neumann

Young Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition - First Round Finalist

Eric Neumann, 16 years old, attends Redeemer Lutheran College in Brisbane, Queensland. He began learning piano at the age of 6 and is currently studying under the wing of Natasha Vlassenko (OAM), head of the keyboard at the Queensland Conservatorium. Throughout Eric’s journey on the piano, he has competed in & won numerous competitions across Southeast Queensland, such as the Brisbane Eisteddfod, Queensland Piano Competition and Redlands Eisteddfod. Such awards consist of scholarship prizes and championship trophies. Recently in 2023, Eric participated in the Royal International Piano Competition, where he was awarded first prize and was selected to perform at a prestigious Winners Concert at Carnegie Hall. Additionally, Eric has engaged in masterclasses with renowned pianists and professors such as Ewa Pobłocka, Jenni Flemming & Daniel Herscovitch. Eric also learns the violin, and in 2023, toured with the Queensland Youth Orchestra throughout Singapore, Germany and Austria, and performed at notable halls such as the Musikverein.
