Olivia Sham, 22, recently completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying with Elizabeth Powell. She graduated with first class honours and the University Medal.
In 2007, Olivia will commence studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, on a full scholarship. Olivia won the keyboard section of the 2003 Symphony Australia Young Performer of the Year, the 2006 John Allison Piano Scholarship, and third place, Chopin and Classical Sonata in the 2006 National Piano Award. Olivia has played with the Melbourne and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (USA) and Ku-Ring-Gai Philharmonic Orchestra. Her performances have been broadcast on 2MBS-FM, ABC Classic-FM and TV. |
