CHEN, Bei Mi
Bei Mi Chen was born in Qingdao, China, in 1987. He started his piano tuition at the age of nine with Yen Zheng, achieving his 8th grade exam at the age of eleven. Bei Mi entered the VCA in 1999 studying under Elizabeth Mitchell until 2004. He is currently studying under Professor Ronald Farren Price at the University of Melbourne on a Faculty Merit Scholarship, and won the Faculty concerto & aria competition in 2006. Bei Mi won 2nd prize in the piano section of the 2002 Hephzibah Menuhin Memorial Competition.
