| 2009 Finalists Announced |

The 4 finalists of the 2009 competition are, in order of play: Oliver She (Rachmaninov, Concerto No. 3) The Finalists will compete for the $20,000 First Prize, plus a $5,000 People's Choice Prize, which is voted by the audience on the Final night. The First Prize winner also receives a number of performance prizes. Each finalist will play a concerto with The Queensland Orchestra, conducted by Marco Zuccarini, on Friday 28 August at 6:30 pm in the Concert Hall, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Southbank, Brisbane. Also announced on the Final night are the minor prizes, from performances in the preliminary rounds.

These include 2007 Semifinalist, "Prix du Port", Rotterdam; 2006 Finalist, Trani International Piano Competition, Italy; Semifinalist, Scriabin International Piano Competition; 2005 Winner, Prix d'Harmonie, Rotterdam; Finalist, Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours, Amsterdam and 2004 Third Prize, Bellini International Piano Competition.
