| 2009 Finalists Announced |

The 4 finalists of the 2009 competition are, in order of play: Oliver She (Rachmaninov, Concerto No. 3) The Finalists will compete for the $20,000 First Prize, plus a $5,000 People's Choice Prize, which is voted by the audience on the Final night. The First Prize winner also receives a number of performance prizes. Each finalist will play a concerto with The Queensland Orchestra, conducted by Marco Zuccarini, on Friday 28 August at 6:30 pm in the Concert Hall, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Southbank, Brisbane. Also announced on the Final night are the minor prizes, from performances in the preliminary rounds.

| 2011 Competition dates announced |

The seventh Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition will take place from 14th August to 27th August 2011 in Brisbane, Australia. Once again, the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University will be the venue for the two week program of events including the opening concert, all perofrmances by the 20 contestants in Rounds 1 and 2, plus recitals and masterclasses by members of the jury. Our spectacular finals night will take place in the Concert Hall of the Queensland Performing Arts Complex on 27th August 2011. This glittering evening features four finalists each playing a full concerto accompanied by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. |
