1. Any jury member who teaches a contestant or has taught a contestant within two years of the commencement of the Competition will abstain from discussion and voting on that contestant. All jury members must declare such teaching at the commencement of the Competition. 2. The adjudication of each separate round of the Competition will be commenced by each jury member awarding a score to each contestant by secret vote on the following ten-point grading system: 10 extraordinary performance 3. The total number of points awarded to each contestant for a particular round will be divided by the total number of jury members voting on that contestant. An average is determined to two decimal places. If any individual score awarded to that contestant is two or more points above or below the average, this score is disregarded, and a new average is determined without using this score. 4. The chairman of the jury is responsible for the tallying of scores for each contestant in each round. There will be two independent scrutineers for the tally who, along with the chairman of the jury will sign the tally sheet for each round. |
